Introduction of Goshare Vehicles

There are two types of GoShare models, namely the ordinary heavy-duty locomotive Gogoro 2 and the light green-licensed locomotive Gogoro VIVA

The difference between the two is that the design of the screen interface is different. VIVA is based on the positioning of lightness as the starting point, so the body will be lighter and more flexible than the Gogoro 2, and there is no traditional keel design. How to rent a car with GoShare

When you see a GoShare on the roadside and want to rent it temporarily, there will be a QR code on the back of each GoShare. Just scan the QR code and download the GoShare APP  to rent it !



The first time you rent a scooter  , you need to scan the QR code APP:

GoShare rate calculation

The GoShare fee is charged according to the usage time , with a fixed rate for the first 6 minutes, and then it is calculated at 2.5 yuan per minute, which is the same as the Youbike rate.

Gogoro 2 | NT$25 for the first 6 minutes and NT$2.50 per minute thereafter.
Gogoro Viva｜NT$15 for the first 6 minutes and NT$2.5 per minute for the background.

GoShare registration process

After installing the GoShare APP, click "Start Journey" to enter your mobile phone number, you will receive a SMS verification code, enter the verification code to complete the mobile phone number verification, and then do the Email verification.




After verifying the mobile phone number and email address, click "Agree to Terms", prepare the original motorcycle driver's license and ID card, and choose a well-lit place to shoot.




GoShare uses AI automated online verification, which greatly shortens the time for manual review. Just follow the instructions on the APP to take a driver's license and ID card.

Reminder  : If you are a traveler from a foreign country, you can also verify the valid foreign passport, residence permit, and international driver's license. If the application cannot be verified, you can contact the online customer service of the GoShare App.




It only took three minutes from registration to completion of verification, which is fast and convenient. The last step is to set the credit card for debiting. Any bank credit card or debit financial card can be used. It is recommended to check which one from the APP first. Banks and GoShare have cooperation discounts, you can save a lot of money!

After completing the binding, you can see the service scope of GoShare, including Taipei, New Taipei, Taoyuan, Yunlin, Tainan, and Kaohsiung . As long as you park at a legal public roadside within the operating area, you can borrow and return GoShare 24 hours a day. !

GoShare rental process

Open the app to check if there are any GoShare vehicles that can be rented nearby. You can see the GoShare model, parking location, and remaining battery power on the screen at a glance.




The GoShare APP has a very intimate place that allows you to reserve a car first, so as to avoid finding out that it has been borrowed at the designated point. After pressing the reservation button, the system will automatically start a 10-minute countdown. During the reservation period, no one else can borrow the car.

In addition  , the APP will also help you estimate the time to arrive at the rental car location. When you arrive, you can click "Start Riding" and the billing will start.



GoShare Ride Instruction

Press "Start Ride" to unlock the vehicle. After unlocking, you will see the screen of the vehicle light up. At this time, you can open the carriage. It should be noted that the way Gogoro opens the carriage is different from that of ordinary locomotives. The first time I rode Gogoro, I also I'm not used to it, but it's actually very simple. Just follow the picture below to open the carriage.

Start the motor


Different from traditional locomotives, Gogoro starts in two parts. The first time is when you press to start riding. At this time, the motor has not started, but the power is turned on. If you want to start the vehicle, first press the brake, and then press the bottom of the dashboard. GO key to start the motor.

Reminder: When starting the vehicle, make sure that the side pillars and center pillar tripods have been retracted, otherwise there will be no response!



GoShare Returning a Car Teaching

Before returning the locomotive, open the GoShare APP to confirm whether the vehicle is within the "service range". The range outlined by the blue line on the map is the service range that can be leased back. within range! Then find a legal parking spot, park the locomotive, and press "End Ride".




After returning the car, the itinerary details will pop up, including the cost of the ride, distance, rental time, etc. It is worth mentioning that, in order to avoid disputes related to parking in the future, you can take photos of the locomotive and send it back. Having a complete license plate and parking grid as proof of appeal is very important!





This time I rode for 36 minutes. Gogoro 2 charges NT$25 for the first 6 minutes and NT$2.5 per minute thereafter. The total amount is TWD 100.

Because the battery needs to be replaced in the process, I got a replacement bonus of NT$20. , with a discount of NT$80, and the fee is paid directly from the credit card (the credit card originally bound to the APP)

02｜ Can I ride out of range?

The vehicles provided by the GoShare mobile sharing service have excellent battery life. You can use the "GoShare Borrow and Return" and "GoShare DOTS Loan and Return" services to travel anywhere you want to go, but you will not be able to return them beyond the range. Ride back within the operating range.

If the service is exceeded and the vehicle cannot be further ridden/returned, the rental fee will still be calculated and a vehicle dispatch fee will be charged.

(The dispatching fee outside the operating scope will be calculated according to the actual situation such as the driving distance. A fee of 300 yuan or more will be charged for each dispatching. Depending on the actual dispatching interval, the charging interval will fall within the range of 300-2000 yuan. )


03｜ Why is there an exclamation mark (triangular warning light) on the dashboard of the car?

When an exclamation mark appears in the dashboard, you can check it first:

1. Is the carriage closed?
2. Are the side pillars and center pillars retracted?
3. Retry if you press the left brake and GO buttons together
4. Check if the right hand turns to the accelerator when pressing the brake and GO buttons.

If you have confirmed all the above, but still cannot start successfully, you can contact the online customer service built in the app.


04｜How is the GoShare parking fee calculated?

If the locomotive is parked on the side of the road, the parking fee will be absorbed by GoShare, but be careful not to park in the private paid parking lot, those costs will be paid by the renter.

05｜What should I do if I violate the rules or generate a fine during the rental period of GoShare?

The renter should pay the fine for illegal parking or other reasons. If the illegal parking is towed or fined, it will be dealt with as a special case.


06｜ Can I change the battery of GoShare? How to change the power?

sure! Please open the GoShare App, click the layer icon on the left side of the screen, and open the "Battery Swap Station". You can view the nearest battery swap station on the App for battery replacement. There is no charge for battery replacement, but the rental time will continue to be calculated. Of course, you can also return the car immediately and re-book another car.

This is my first time riding a GoShare electric scooter. I usually ride a traditional gas scooter.
